Once we realize the word evil in found in Scripture 592 times then we should know a definition for evil is important. To understand the Bible well a definition of evil is mandatory.

The Lord’s prayer is a popular Scripture and one of the most used portions of the Bible. The word evil is found in the Lord’s prayer and in Mathew 6:9-15, it reads as follows, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

In this prayer we are asking God to deliver us from evil. Because there has been no definition for evil all these many years, we have had no idea what we are asking God for? However, once evil is defined now, we know for sure what we are asking from God. We are asking God to deliver us from evil…from the sin that began in Eden between Adam and Eve. We are asking God to deliver us from oral sex and all unnatural sex. God made vaginal intercourse for procreation. He did not make oral or anal sex. When evil ends, we will have heaven on earth.

Not only are we asking for deliverance but also for forgiveness. We are also asking God to forgive us our sins as we forgive our debtors. If the sinner does not forgive others, God will not forgive them. God will forgive and we will forgive those who sinned against us. Forgiving others is a requirement.

Today’s Christianity was founded before evil was defined. Therefore, in the beginning of Christianity oral sex was not named as being evil. Today if you go to the website of the Catholic Church, you will read detailed instructions on how a man and his wife should commit oral sex in such a way for it not to interfere with procreation. And we know God said he would conclude the world with no believe in God, therefore in these last days those calling themselves Christians will have the woes to the hypocrites read to them. “For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all” (Romans 11:32). Deliverance and mercy are good for all people. When deliverance from evil begins to happen let us not fight against it.

We are promised deliverance in the last days as stated in Isaiah 2:2 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that …the Lord’s house shall be established…and all nations shall flow unto it.”  All nations will come to God. This is promised in a number of ways and repeated in Psalms 67:7 where it says; “God shall bless us and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”  That means all the ends of the earth will hate evil. “The fear of the Lord [is] to hate evil:…” Proverbs 8:13. Yes, we need evil defined. Then we need to put an end to evil. We need to hate evil. Hating evil is for the good of all people. Hating evil is the beginning of wisdom.

God is good for he will let those who built this present-day Christianity with no knowledge of what is evil rebuild it with the knowledge they need to end sin and bring heaven to earth. “If my people, which are called by my name, (Christians) shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14.
