Sin

What is Sin

A Law from Eden, is an informative book written by Marilyn Taplin

Do you know what the sin in Eden was and still is?  Is your answer no?  You are not alone. The sin in Eden is still a mystery. Some time ago on CNN the question was asked, “What is sin?”  Several theologians gave different answers but failed to define sin.  After 2000 years of Christianity why are people asking, what is sin? Shouldn’t that question have been answered 2000 years ago?  Christianity has failed to provide humankind with a correct answer to that question?  If humans do not know what God calls sin, how do humans know what to do, what not to do, or what to stop doing? How do the Christians of today know they do not sin? They cannot know until they understand the sin in Eden.

When the Catholic Church began Christianity, it had much trouble identifying sin. They argued over what the sin in Eden was.  They agreed to identify “sin” as disobedience. Once that decision was made then that allowed man, not God to define sin. In the past and even today man has decided to make many behaviors sin which are not sin and never have been sin.

Examples: Some actions we used to call sin for women- cutting your hair, wearing slacks, jewelry, and makeup.  For men and women – movies, cards, bowling, smoking, dancing, drinking and gambling were all sinful.  But none of these actions will change a person’s God from God to Satan.  When Adam and Eve sinned, they departed from God to serve Satan.

Man has been unsuccessful in explaining why Adam and Eve were removed from the Garden. What sin changed their God from God to Satan?  I believe their sin was sexual.  However, it was not vaginal sex for God made the body for vaginal sex. Their sin was unnatural sex, oral and anal sex.  This sin is sin for all people and it does change a person’s God from God to Satan.

Unnatural sex is called fornication as stated in Jude 1:7, “Sodom and Gomorrah giving themselves over to fornication.” Then God tells us He did not make the body to be used in this manner. “The body is not made for fornication, but for the Lord” (1 Corinthians 6:13). Those who serve God do not   commit fornication. Those who commit fornication serve Satan. Adam and Eve fell and fornication makes a person fall. “Neither let us commit fornication as some…and fell in one day three and twenty thousand” (1 Corinthians 10:8).

Do you see the condition of humankind today? Can you see the condition of Christianity today? Almost everyone has fallen from the sin that began in Eden. And that explains why so many are asking, what is wrong, where is all the violence coming from, what can we do to make a better life for our children and grandchildren?

Deliverance is coming. Mercy is coming. Heaven on earth is coming. At the end of this age there will be only a few people left who are not like Sodom and Gomorrah. Or you can say it this way. Most of the people on earth will believe in oral and anal sex, only a few will not.  The few are called the remnant. “Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and ye should have been like unto Gomorrah” (Isaiah   1:9.)

A remnant is a small portion left at the end.  In the end time, the majority of earth’s population will believe in oral and anal sex.  The Christianity of today stands with the majority. They need to give heed to the law; the law God gave Adam and Eve.  “Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah” (Isaiah 1:10).

The solution to the sin problem and to a Christianity that is wicked is this, “If my people, which are called by my name, (Christians) shall humble them-selves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Yes, heaven will come when this present-day Christianity cleans up the church. Those calling themselves Christians must put an end to sin in their own lives. Then God will teach those same people how to heal our land. They will teach that Christians do not commit fornication as stated, “But fornication…let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints” (Ephesians 5:3).  If you call yourself a Christian you cannot commit fornication even once.  Once is all it takes to fall, to depart from God and to be unholy-profane. The end of sin brings heaven to earth.

  • The Catholic Church did not "begin" Christianity. As soon as I read that sentence I stopped reading the article.

    • Are you complaining because I called Catholics Christians? I only meant that they are the oldest of the religious denominations.

It is a historical fact that the church in Rome can literally trace its roots to the period of time they say Jesus came to earth. They claim Peter was the first Pope.

The Episcopalian, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Pentecostal and other denominations cannot place the beginning of their denomination back that many years. And they were all begun by a person or persons, not an apostle of Jesus Christ. They all argue over "what is truth"? That is why the Catholic Church and the many denominations are telling us a wide variety of what is truth--I have heard from 60 to 3000 denominations. None have named the sin in Eden. None have drawn all humans to God. None have brought heaven to earth like both John the Baptist and Jesus promised.

We need a better Christianity. We need a church that will speak with the mind of one person--Jesus. Jesus will bring truth to earth. Truth will be the same for all people.

      • He didn’t complain that you called Catholics anything. YOU WROTE and implied Christianity began with the Catholic Church. It began when people began to follow the teachings of Christ. There was no Catholic Church yet.

Sin is missing the mark of perfection. We all miss the mark. The only sin that can not be forgiven is to give up trying or as some say, continually rejecting the (w) Holy Spirit.

        • My book from beginning to end states that we are waiting for the first coming of Christ. So whoever began the Christianity of today is not the issue. At the first coming of Christ we are promised the end of sin, heaven on earth, Jesus' truth will draw all people to God, and all humans will repent and return to the ways of God. The Christianity of today has not delivered even one of those promises.

The Christianity of today has not named the sin in Eden. The sin in Eden was unnatural sex. Adam and Eve are alone in their story to show that sin did not begin with two men or two women, but with a man and his wife. Unnatural sex is sin for all people. The truth Jesus will bring will be powerful enough to put an end to this sin that began in Eden and bring peace to earth. He will say,"I bring good news". The end of sin is good news. Heaven on earth is good news.

Yes, we need a better Christianity. Jesus will build a church without spot or wrinkle---meaning there will be no sinning in the church he builds. All people will be holy. Holy people do not commit unnatural sex. All the woes to the hypocrites will be read to those calling themselves Christians today.

          • The first sin was not of unnatural sex but of disobedience. Adam and Eve didn't know about the concept of natural sex even after they ate of the forbidden fruit. They were made ashamed of their nudity hiding their bodies right after. So how could they know about "unnatural sex"? Also, it states in the bible that they had their children after they were exiled from Eden. Therefore, they were in no way intimate while in Eden. Yes, fornication is one of the major sins but it isn't the first sin. It's disobedience which is also stated in the New Testament by Jesus himself.

If there's a passage in the bible where it clearly states that unnatural sex began in Eden and it is what has condemned us, then I would like to know where that passage is. Thank you.

          • Colossians 3:18, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as ® it is fit in the Lord.” This verse means that husbands and wives can do what is unfit. And the cross reference to “as it is fit in the Lord” sends me to Ephesians 5:3, to explain what is unfit. ®“But fornication, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not be once named among you.” Oral and anal sex is forbidden and unfit for husbands and wives for it is stated in Jude 7 that the sex of Sodom and Gomorrah is called fornication, “Sodom and Gomorrah giving themselves over to fornication...” So, we can see that God forbids all husbands and wives, to use their bodies for fornication, the sex of Sodom and Gomorrah. This truth is reinforced in 1 Corinthians 6:13 where it declares, “The body is not made for fornication, but for the Lord.” There are only two choices God or fornication. God or Satan.

Isaiah 1:9 “Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom and ye should have been like Gomorrah.” A remnant is a small portion left at the end. At the end of time there will be only a few people left who are not like Sodom and Gomorrah. If Adam and Eve were on earth in the end time they would not be one of the remnant who did not depart from God. They would be like those in Sodom and Gomorrah who have departed from God.

There is much more I could tell you but I hope this helped you. My last blog, The Second Commandment, will also explain the sin in Eden.

      • The Catholics cannot prove a continuous line from Peter to now. The word Pope is not even in the Bible. Peter never claimed the authority the Pope does today. Jesus very clearly defines sin in the New Testament. Under Jesus we are in a New Covenant. The old obsolete. The New Testament is very clear on how to be saved. It is man that has created a multitude of denominations. There are none in the New Testament.

        • You are right, the Catholics cannot prove a continuous line from Peter until now. You are right, man created a multitude of denominations. So how do you explain this present day Christianity? Don't you have to wonder where it came from? How do you explain that the Christianity of today has not drawn all people to God, hasn't brought heaven to earth and hasn't put an end to sin?

Tell me how does Jesus defines sin in the New Testament. Sin was defined in Genesis when Adam and Eve departed from God to serve Satan. Sin is the same today as it was then. Sin does not change.

It is illogical to believe Jesus would build a church that looks like Sodom and Gomorrah. Several denominations will marry and ordain the gays. Jesus did not build a church like that. He would not overrule God. Jesus will come in the last days as stated in Isaiah 2:2. We can expect the first coming of Jesus in the last days and he will teach us his ways. That is good news.
