A Remnant

As I have mentioned before a remnant is left at the end. A remnant is a small portion of the whole. In the last days there will be only a few, a remnant who are not like Sodom and Gomorrah. This truth is stated in Isaiah 1:9 “Except the Lord of hosts has left us a very small remnant, we would have been as Sodom, and we would have been as Gomorrah.” This verse is stating in the last days only a few have not gone the way of Sodom and Gomorrah. The population of the earth can be divided into just two groups of people–the remnant and those in Sodom and Gomorrah.

If Adam and Eve could be placed in one group or the other, they would not stand with the remnant. They committed evil, departed from God and God departed from them. They would stand in Sodom and Gomorrah. There is no other group to belong to. Oral sex is sin for all people. This truth is also stated in Matthew 24:37, “But as the days of No’e were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” In the story of Noah there were eight people in the ark. The rest of the population were wicked. Today, this is the condition of human kind—the majority have departed from God to serve Satan. Only a few serve God. Jesus comes to this end-time generation to bring all people back to God.

Divide the population of the earth into two groups; a few who did not commit evil and the masses; Sodom and Gomorrah, who did commit evil. Now you can see the difference between: Good and evil. Light and darkness. God and Satan. Righteousness and wickedness. Holy and unholy.

In Isaiah 2:2 there is good news, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.”  In the last days, all people will come to God. This is a requirement if we are to have heaven on earth.

Jesus comes once at the end to put away sin. Please remember the fear of the Lord is to hate evil as stated in “Proverbs 8:13, “The fear of the lord is to hate evil….”  And in Psalms 34:11 we are told God will teach us to hate evil “Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the lord.” This can be said I will teach you to hate evil. Also, in Romans11:32, “For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.” Mercy is forgiveness without punishment.

In this. end time picture of the human race, we see only a few, a remnant, who have not gone in the way of Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus will stand with the remnant. The remnant are not sinless. This is when Jesus will say, “Don’t call me good there is no one good except God in heaven.”  And we are told, “ all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” In this end time picture, all are sinners. However not all sin is equal. Oral and anal sex is a greater sin and is called a spot. The remnant will be quilty of a lesser sin which is called a wrinkle. A lesser sin does not put a person in Sodom and Gomorrah. For example, is a person were to steel money from another person that beaks a commandment but it does not put a person in Sodom and Gomorrah. Oral and anal sex places a person in Sodom and Gomorrah. There are no Christians in either one of these two end time groups. However, in these last days many will be calling themselves Christians. The woes to the hypocrites will be read to those people. However, in the last days we will see the goodness of God. “If my people, which are called by my name (Christians) shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will heal their land.” The healing of America and the rest of the world will begin within todays Christianity when those calling themselves Christians repent.
